It is with great sadness that the Allegheny County CISM Team and Pittsburgh CISM Team announces the loss of their K9 team member Max, He has responded over the years to many incidents and offered comfort and reassurance to those in need. His presence offered that special K9 comfort and often aided in having those in crisis to open up and become relaxed as well as reassured.
Max was an amazing dog who was so attuned to people that he was able to know who needed his comfort most. His spirit remained strong even through the end. He always got excited when Angie would ask him if he “wanted to go to work”. He truly enjoyed working and meeting people. I am truly blessed to have had Max as my partner for 8 years and I’m so proud and honored that I got to witness Max change lives.
Our team will miss Max and we wish to acknowledge his dedication to our team. In addition, Pittsburgh CISM wishes to send our sympathy to Angela Fry, our team member, board member and Max’s partner in CISM response. Please include them in your thoughts and prayers.
